I Can't Hold it in Anymore!

We are Pregnant!!!!! Crazy huh!! Jim and I are so excited and can’t believe that we are going to be parents! Of course we have known this now for some time but wanted to wait until we were out of the danger zone (first trimester). Right now we are official 12.5 weeks and the baby is due on July 14, 2010!

There is so much to do, so much to prepare and so much to think about. My head is seriously spinning! I have been documenting my progress so far at home and will post them all this week and next! Wish us luck and help us pray for a healthy baby!!

November 6, 2009- We’re Pregnant!

I woke up really early that morning because I had to pee (sorry for the detail). I decided that why not, let’s take another test just to be certain that we are not pregnant.

Let me back track for a moment.

Jim and I decided after months of discussion that we wanted to start trying after our first anniversary in September. If you were to ask me a year ago when we thought we would have kids, I would have said 5 years. If you were to ask me 6 months ago when we thought we would have kids, I would have said 2 years. Of course, my mind changed again and I was ready! It took some time for Jim to come around but he did finally say that he was ready after our anniversary and so the process started!

I already convinced myself that it would take some time for us to get pregnant because my cycles are so irregular. I mean 32 days to 58 days to 45 days. I knew that in order to get it right on the head it would take many months of trying! It only seemed rational. Plus I really didn’t want to get my hopes up that it would happen so easily!

Well, I guess I was so wrong. It seriously only took us one month…..It’s crazy!

So back to the morning of November 6^th. I woke up early to use the washroom and for some reason convinced myself to take another test. We took three tests before this one and they all came out negative. (Also, note to all of those I saw on Halloween, I did not know I was pregnant, in fact I took a test right before and it was negative. So please don’t judge me.)

After I took the test, I proceeded to get ready for work when I looked down and saw that the test was positive. Holy Sh*&!! I called Jim, “Honey will you come here”. He said once I said those words, he knew! I then took 5 more tests, made Jim go to the store to buy a couple more and they all came out positive! Here are some happy, half asleep , excited we are pregnant pictures! Also, I took my first pregnant belly picture! I was 4 weeks at the time!
