So I'm not too behind this week so I'm happy about that. I decided to do something new this week instead of my regular post. So I thought I would do a little question and answer survey for you all.
How Far Along?- 24 Weeks aka 6 months aka only 4 more months to go. Yes, despite what they say you are really pregnant for 10 months (40 weeks) not 9 months. Maybe I will be lucky and go a little early...One could dream, right???
Total Weight Gain: 14 pds..... I was really hesitant about sharing this information but it was inevitable that I would gain weight. 14 pounds seemed like a lot to me since all I hear from everyone is that you are only gaining it in the stomach. I guess I should lay off the late night ice cream..... In all seriousness, I am right on track with my weight gain so I should be happy that I am not gaining too much!!
Maternity Clothes: Ummm....do you really have to ask?? Of course, I don't even think I could try and button up a normal pair of pants. Some of my normal shirts still fit but I'm mostly all maternity. I tell Jim that as soon as I am back to my normal weight, I am treating myself to a new pair of True Religion Jeans! Can't Wait!!
Sleep: Well, let me see...I guess I sleep. Is it great? NO, but I do get a few hours at a time before I am up because I have to pee or I have heart burn or my legs are cramping up or my dog likes to go in and out of the covers. So I guess my answer is: Sleep is really not that great right now!! I'm sure it will only get worse.
Cravings: I crave a lot of fruit which is great but I also crave ice cream and chocolate. I luckily tried the Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwiches and absolutely loved them. I now feel a little better that my late night snack only contains 150 Calories and 2 grams of Fat!
Best Moment of the Week: Going to our 24 week doctor appointment!! We were able to hearCj's heartbeat which was strong at 150 bpm. The doctor also went over some other results from our last ultrasound. He ranks in the 57-59 percentile for weight, height, bone measurements, etc. The doctor informed us that he estimates that CJ will be about 7 pds 9 oz which was a huge relief for me. As you may recall, my husband was 10 pds when he was born. My body could not handle a baby this big. An eight pound baby I can handle!! My stomach also measured right on track so all is great!!
Movement: Yes, lots of it! I also found out that I have an anterior placenta so all of the baby movement may be not as strong because of the extra cushion. Can I tell you how happy I am about this!! As long as I can feel him kicking, I am perfectly okay with it not being as strong as it could be!!
Gender: Healthy Boy!!
Labor Signs: Not really at least not ones I can feel!
Belly Button in or out: Flat or maybe out... Hard to tell. Hubby gets grossed out by it so I try not to show it off!!
So I hope you enjoyed the little questionnaire. I really don't think I can do this every week since many of the answers will be the same! Check out the 24 week picture below. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
