Monkeys, Monkeys, Monkeys!

If you guessed Monkeys as the theme of CJ's baby room.... you are correct!!! As you may recall from other posts, hubby and I had a really hard time deciding on how we were going to decorate the room. I wanted clean lines, basic colors, something more modern. On the other hand, Jim wanted something bright blue that screamed I'm a boy. So we compromised and went with Monkeys!!

I know it sounds weird that we both liked the Monkey theme but we absolutely are thrilled with the end results!! The bedding is light blue, brown and beige with brown monkeys. It is so adorable!! We purchased the bedding from babysupermall.com. I was a little hesitant about buying something online since I wouldn't be able to tell the quality of the fabric but as soon as we opened it we knew that it was a winner! We loved the bedding set so much that we ordered the matching mobile, lamp, hamper and pictures.

To add more color to the room and to make it more fun. I purchased a tree with a hanging monkey wall decal from etsy. So cute!! It really pulls the room together! I also bought wood letters to spell out his name from JoAnn Fabrics and painted them blue and brown and hung them above the crib. I purposely did not include his name in the pictures so we can surprise everyone when CJ joins us in July.

I also picked up a cute shelf from Home Goods to hang a few cute baby items to finish up the room.
