Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Melissa and I am a twenty something girl living in Chicago with my wonderful husband, Jim and my neurotic but fantastically loving dog, Leonidas (Leo). I decided to start this blog because I needed a place to vent, talk about and share with complete strangers and friends the ins and outs of our life! I do not, by any means, think that our life is any more interesting or entertaining than anyone else’s but I thought it would be cool to jot down the events that happen on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Kind of like recording history…

The idea behind this blog is for our future children to look back and learn what mom & dad were like when they were young. But am I really kidding myself? Are my future children really going to want to read my blog? Who knows but I thought I would give it a shot!

I have to admit that I have been throwing this blog idea around for the last couple of months. I wasn’t sure if it really was for me or if I would have the time, energy or motivation to keep up with it but I thought why not, what do I have to lose? Also, the big hurdle for me was: How the heck do you possibly design a blog? I really am pretty computer savvy but man, I really was lost. So I found the Design Girl from other blogs and it all started from there. Do you guys like the set up?? I really think she did a fantastic job!

So let me introduce you to the Rose family. This is Jim. He is my husband of a little over a year. We met in Chicago (future blog to come on how we met) three years ago and the rest became history. He is the best husband a girl can ask for! I mean, he puts up with my shit so you got to love the man. Anyways, he thinks my idea of “blogging” is great but is convinced that it is only going to last a few weeks. I, of course, told him that he is wrong.

I am pleased to also introduce you to ‘The’ Leo. Yes, he really is that cute in person (or is it dog). And yes, we really do refer to him as The Leo. You would have to meet him to understand why he gets a ‘The’ in front of his name. I can’t wait to blog about him in the future!

So I hope that people read my blog, comment on my blog or at least humor me and pretend that the like my blog! I promise to not only talk about my dog and my husband! Stay tuned for the next chapter of our life!!

P.S.- You like the title of the blog??? I thought it was creative.
