Week 38

Week 38- June 30, 2010

FINALLY........I'm full term!!! I was actually considered full term at 37 weeks but have been so busy that I did not get a chance to let you all know!! This past week has been crazy! We had our 38 week appointment last Tuesday and I am 1/2 centimeter dilated and 50% effaced. The doctor informed me that since I am dilated that I actually have had some contractions. I didn't even feel them! I'm hoping when we go to our 39 week appointment they will tell me that I am further along!!

Of course the doctor can't tell us when Caden will come but I feel that it will be very soon! I'm hoping to get through my last day at work on Thursday but if he decides to come sooner, I'm okay with that too!

This past fourth of July holiday weekend was so relaxing. I was able to hang out by the pool and enjoy the weather! Let me tell you, the pool is the best place to be when you are over 9 months pregnant. You feel weightless and the swelling in my feet and hands went away for a while! I'm thinking a water birth would be great if I was able to have the drugs along with it!!

Well, hopefully this time next week I will be telling you all about my sweet precious boy but we will have to wait and see!!

Here is my 38 week picture. Yes, I have some stretch marks which I'm hoping you can't see but I guess it comes with the territory!! Pray for us that his birth will be fast, easy and that he will be a happy, healthy boy!!
