So it's been a long time since I have wrote because I am spending all of my time taking care of my little man! I love every minute I have with my baby and would not trade it for anything in the world! Yesterday, Caden turned 3 weeks old. Can you believe that it has been 3 weeks already? Time is going by way to fast. Before you know it I will be back at work :( and my little boy will continue to grow like a weed!
Caden is such a good sleeper! He will go for 3 hours at a time at night! This may not seem like a long time but from what I hear from other mothers, I should be very happy! He is also an amazing eater! He can't get enough of mamma's milk! This makes me so happy because I so want to be able to nurse him for as long as he will take it! He makes funny faces and grunting noises when he has gas pains and occasionally will flash us a smile (which I'm sure is not intentional but so exciting to say the least)! He is a very content baby as long as he is full and has a clean diaper! Oh yea, he hates to have his diaper changed. He cries every time we have to change him. Sorry bud, but we will have to continue to change that diaper! Hopefully he will get more comfortable with it and it won't make him so upset!
Caden had his 2 week doctor appointment last week and he has already gained one pound (7 pds 15 oz)! I would like to pat myself on the back for this one! Everyday I worry that he isn't getting enough to eat but according to the doctor he is getting plenty of milk!! I can only imagine how much he is going to weigh when I bring him in next week for his 4 week appointment. I can already see a difference in weight and height from when he was born. It is sad to see his newborn clothes becoming tight on his little body. My baby is growing up way to fast :(
I am enjoying my time off but did not expect it to be so demanding. Before Caden was born I thought I would have all of this extra time to blog, read, clean, cook, etc. But taking care of a newborn is no easy task. You are needed every minute of everyday! I find myself starting a task and not finishing it until hours/days later. The minute you feed him he is ready to have his diaper changed or he is crying because he wants you to pick him up or he has the hiccups and he needs to be consoled. It is a continuous cycle but it is a very rewarding job! So much more rewarding that any other job I have had in my life!
I have taken a few (actually more like a few hundred) pictures these past weeks and would like to share! Can you tell he is getting bigger? I plan on putting together an album with all of the pictures. Does anyone have any suggestions on what program I should use? I should probably start this because I know if I put it off too much longer it will never get done.
Also, I plan on writing about his birthday soon. I need to document this moment before the memories began to fade away!
