Drum Roll Please......

Baby Rose is a............................

We could not be happier. I think deep down inside I knew all along that our baby was a boy. I think I would have been really surprised if they would have said girl.

Baby Boy is 100% healthy and actually weighs 13oz. This puts him in the 57 percentile which is a little above average. Can I tell you how scarred I am to have a big baby. My husband was almost 10 pds and 2 feet in length when he was born. I don't think that I can carry a baby that big!!! Needless to say, big or small, as long as he is healthy, that is all that matters! The ultrasound yesterday was completly amazing. We were able to see everything....his fingers, toes, face profile, beating heart, spinal cord, etc. It truely is amazing!

Both my mom and Jim's mom came to the ultrasound with us for the big reveal. They both were so excited, nervous when we were there. Once they announced that it was a boy, you could see the tears welling up in everyone's eyes!! We are so blessed!

We are a little bit sad that Kennedy won't have a girl cousin to play with, be best friends with, grow up with but a boy cousin will be just a good!!! He can play with her when they are young, probably won't want to have anything to do with her during grade school but then look after her when they are in high school and beyond! It is perfect!!!

So we already have a name picked out and are 99% sure that this will be his name but we want to wait to reveal until he is born! You got to leave something out there for people to be surprised by when he is born!!

Oh yea, almost forgot to mention, Jim finally got to feel our baby kick yesterday! He was so excited! I think it freaked him out as well! I'm just so happy that he finally got to feel what I have been feeling for the last few weeks. I guess this means the kicks/punches are getting stronger..........

Stay tuned for the 20 week picture later tonight!

  1. Found your blog through Design Girl's website. You have a really cute blog! I live about 3 hours east of Chicago, so I had to say hello to a fellow mid-west girl. Congratulations on your baby boy! Take care, Jill
