A name, a new house and a very tired pregnant lady!

It's official..... we found a house in the burbs, put an offer down and after many requests going back with the mortgage broker, we close on our new house on April 17th! You may say that this was fast....Well.....it really was. We saw our new house go on the market and the next day we put an offer in! It was the first house we saw and fell in love! Luckily the owner loved us back because we were in a bidding war with another couple and he wanted the house to go to us! He thought we were a good family!

So now we are in the process of renting our condo in the city! Any takers out there? I would feel so much better once we get our place rented out!

A couple details on the new house:

- 4 bedrooms
- 2 1/2 baths
- Fenced in backyard
- 2 1/2 car garage
- Big corner sized lot
- Much, much more!

The house went into foreclosure last summer and was in some desperate need of repairs and updates. The current owner, who is a builder, purchased the house at a ridiculous price and gutted the whole thing! The house was built in the late 90's but the inside is all brand new! I can't wait to share pictures.

Onto other exciting news, we finally agreed on a name for our little boy! It took us some time to agree on a name and with all of the house hunting, it kind of got put on the back burner. It's sad that this pregnancy is being overshadowed by moving but once we get settled into our new home, I hope to be able to embrace this pregnancy and my new baby boy. The initials will be: LMR. The first name is very different and not very popular. We have gotten mixed reviews but I absolutely love it! That's all that matters, right!?!

So here is the name: Landry Michael Rose!

All in all, with all of the house searching, constantly having to keep our condo in tip top shape for showings and realizing at the end of the day that I truly am pregnant..... this mama is exhausted! Luckily we will be going on vacation next week and enjoying the sunny weather in Florida!!

  2. What a sweet name! I love it! I am so jealous that you guys have agreed on a name for baby boy! I'm pretty sure the heavens will open when I can get my husband on board with a baby name for number 2! 12 weeks and counting.. no big deal! LOL Congratulations on the house, too! We bought ours (and moved and painted and "decorated" it when I was six months pregnant! I cannot believe I survived!
