4 Months Old

Mr. Caden you are now 4 months old. What a big boy you are! We visited the doctor this month for a check up and you wouldn't believe how big you have gotten....

Drum Roll Please.....

Weight: 16 pounds (That's about 4 pounds in two months!)

Height: 27.5 inches long (That's 3 inches from our last visit)

Holy cow! At the rate you are going, you will be a toddler before we know it! You are still in 6 month clothes but they seem to be getting a little tight! We are moving you to size 3 diapers as soon as you are done with the 2's (only a few more days). And since you are so big, the doctor gave us the go ahead to start on stage one foods!! Let me tell you, you love you some food!! I think you will eat anything that comes near your mouth. We started you on sweet potatoes and you ate them up (let's not mention that you had some of Kennedy's Banana Yogurt this weekend and you couldn't get enough)!

As far as feedings go, you still eat every two hours but this time you are getting it from a bottle (still mom's finest) because mom had to go back to work. You eat about 5 oz each time but we are hoping that you will last longer in between feedings now that we have introduced solids!

Sleeping- Well, you were sleeping through the night (and you still do sometimes) but now you are back to getting up once a night. Of course it's around 4 am, when Mom's alarm is set to go off at 5:30 am. I'm hoping that you can learn to extend your sleep by an additional hour but we can't complain since you go right back down once you are done eating! Once again, we are hoping that the addition of solids will help you sleep longer at night!

What you love- Playing! You really have started to notice all of the toys around you. I think this may have occurred recently since you are now watching your cousin Kennedy playing with her toys all day! We would like to say that you love your cousin too, but I think it may be too early to tell! We hope you two get along since you spend every day together during the week (minus Wednesdays of course). You love, love, love to put everything in your mouth. We thought you may be teething but now I think it's that you like to chew on things!

What you hate- Being hungry....The second you are hungry you scream and cry. You can't wait for it, you want it that second. I wonder who you get this one from???

I can't wait to see what the next month will bring!
